When a tooth becomes decayed or broken it needs to be repaired to prevent further problems. White composite fillings will be used to restore a tooth to full form and function.
The procedure: a tooth that has decay, or old fillings in need of replacement, will be cleaned to remove these problems. A new white filling will then be placed by the dentist to rebuild everything that has been previously lost. The treatment will be entirely pain-free and can last between 5 and 30 minutes for a single tooth depending on complexity, with regular breaks as you require to maintain your comfort. You can usually eat straightaway.

Whilst we aim to be an amalgam-free practice due to the environmental benefits this offers, we can also provide silver amalgam fillings if required or specifically desired by you. However, with improvements in modern composite materials these are rarely, if ever required.
